Everybody knows you've been discreet, but there were so many people you just had to meet... without your clothes. And everybody knows
That's one of the three songs that's been bouncing around my head lately. The other two being Shake your Booty (Shake shake shake... shake shake shake... shake your booty) and Shakespear Sister's Stay (You'd better hope and pray that you make it safe back to your own world. You'd better hope and pray that you wake one day, back in your own world). Used to listen to that at the game store all the time. I think that video was one of my first exposures to the spooky girl aesthetic. Randomness.
I'm in a really good mood for no particular reason. Or at least I was last night. Now I'm mainly just sleepy, but I'm going to assume that once I come out of sleep dep haze, I'll still be in a good mood. Danced too much last night. Saw lots of people, including infrequents like Matt and Cindy. And I met Matt's sister, Nicci, who's back from Texas. Yay for new people.
Eek. Ok, work time. Probably more later.
Back now. Quoth Joy Division out of context "Routine bites hard, and ambitions are low". Work is dull, dull, and when it's not busy being dull, it's pointless. I continue to enjoy the perks though. Returned the DSP and Games Programming Gems books, and grabbed a Compilers book. I think it's the textbook for the Compilers class at UC Berkeley. I seem to remember seeing it at the student store there, but I never took the class because I was too busy with EE, and in the grand scheme of things really don't like programming all that much.
I really don't have very much to say right now. Currently planning my weekend. Friday is DJing and Sunday is spooky picnic. Saturday seems clear at the moment with the usual nagging feeling that I'm forgetting about something. Oh well, I'll figure it all out.
