Oof. Just getting in from my exciting San Jose adventure. There's always something to be said about walking home as the sun is coming up, but I'm also realizing that I've got one hell of a weekend coming up. Party on Friday that I'm sure I won't sleep at all after. Cleaning all Saturday day then party at HO13D, and those tend to run *late*, like sunrise late on several occasions, then Sunday is going to be tidying up, and then hopefully I can get across the bay and go to my seester's birthday dinner before heading down the peninsula to housesit at my mom's (which I mention again, has a spa!). If I was a smart monkey, I would try to catch as much sleep as humanly possible tomorrow night. Am I a smart monkey? Well, yes actually, but I'm not a very wise monkey, so I think I'll still probably end up going to the DNA, though I doubt I'll stay long, as Ed and Fernando aren't spinning this week, and I've never been wowed by the normal Code DJ's when I've gone in the past.

Anyway, today went much as expected. Got up, did the usual run at the computer for a while then headed over to Eric's house (who has decided that he wants to be reffered to as no pants Eric to help differentiate him from Eric pants). Grabbed some things that have been in storage over there. Mainly clothes, but also Diplomacy, as we have a game of it planned for next Sunday. I'm looking forward to it. Diplomacy is one of those games I've owned forever, but never really gotten around to playing. I think there's still some slots open if any of you geeks out there are interested. It promises to be backstab-tastic (Except I would never ever think of betraying Twid. We're allies till the bitter end. Yup. *dagger sharpening noises*) Caught a ride back to HO13D with Eric, as Wednesday is the house gaming night. I hemmed and hawed for a bit about heading down to San Jose. Finally decided to go for it when I found out that the club was only a mile from the caltrain. So, grabbed reading material for the train down and bolted out the door (In case you care I'm back to reading my more typical fantasy fare. George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, which is really unbelievably well written. If you like the genre at all, I *highly* recommend it)

Wandered into the club sometime around 10:45 I think. Didn't see anyone I knew there, but the first song I walked into was VNV's Epicenter, which is very high on my list of must dance songs at the moment (I can't say that you're losing me, but I must be that which I am, though I know where this could take me, no tears, no sympathy). This was followed up by a couple of other songs high on my personal hit list, though I forget details at this point. At some point, dancing buddy Patty tapped me on the shoulder, and we danced about, as we are wont to do. Pretty soon Teresa and Emily showed up also, and there was much rejoicing. I don't get to see all my south bay buddies as much as I would like anymore, and Emily is even harder to keep up with now that she's in Monterey. Nice range of music played through the whole night. Everything from good ole hit's of the 80's to some powernoise. My only complaint is that the dance floors are relatively small, but the fact that there's two of them means that there's almost always something playing that you want to hear. Was silly bunches with Teresa and Emily. Sang along loudly and goofily with David Bowie (My little China Girl, you shouldn't mess with me, I'll ruin everything you are. I'll give you television, I'll give you eyes of blue, I'll give you men who want to rule the world).

After the club stood outside for a good while waiting for everyone to assemble for obligatory after club dinering. Met a whole bunch of new people, which is always nice, including someone who started showing up recently on my most hung out in IRC channel. I always like being able to attach people to the nicknames I see, as I tend to get protective about where I hang out virtually and take a "Who are you kids, and what the hell are you doing on my lawn!!" approach when people I don't know magically appear. Random weird thing, no fewer than three people told me I looked really familiar and was it possible that they had seen pictures of me somewhere? Eerie. Not at all meant in a creepy way, but I didn't think there were all that many pics of me around for public consumption. I still haven't gotten any strangers who know me via my journal, but I imagine that will be even weirder when it happens. "Hi, you don't know me, but I can recite chapter and verse of what you've been doing for the past couple months." Anyway, diner action was a lot of fun. I think there were probably about 20 people there. The hat game was played. For those not in the know, the hat game is basically truth or dare without the dare bit. Everyone writes down questions and sticks them in a hat and then the hat is passed around and everyone in turn takes a question and then answers it truthfully, or more frequently, blushes and says "I'm not answering THAT!" until people peer pressure them into it. I didn't get any good questions. I never do. Dinering was a lot of fun. I had a blackberry sundae. It was yummy. There was a lot of random food spillage and flinging. I managed to come out relatively unscathed, but Teresa got ferociously assaulted by her chocolate shake. Anyway, was getting up towards caltrain starting up time again, so I turned down some offers to put me up for the evening/morning and just hopped a train back to the city, so here I am. Not really at all sleepy unfortunately... Oi.

I'd write more until I get sleepy, but most of my head is pretty soundly in "None of your damn business" space at the moment, and I've already filled you in on all the boring stuff, so I think I'm just going to listen to some music and then try to fool my body into sleep.
